Trump’s Right: Kill McConnell’s Ukraine-Aid-For-Border-Security Abomination

We have minimum low regard for Donald Trump, but we do hope he succeeds in blowing up the latest abomination being cooked up by Mitch McConnell and the GOP wing of the Washington Uniparty. The truth is, we should not be spending one red cent on either securing Zelensky’s borders in Ukraine or putting more hobnail boots on the US border with Mexico.

But stumping up $75 billion that we don’t have in order to fund both of these pointless missions is exactly what McConnell et. al. are busy scheming to accomplish. It’s apparently the GOP leadership’s turn to round-up votes for the Uniparty’s latest installment of the Forever Wars in Ukraine by offering “immigration control” bait to the GOP’s backbench border bashers.

Of course, these are Washington manufactured problems that have nothing to do with either the homeland security of America or the betterment of living standards on main street. So more power to the Donald if he can make this latest McConnell betrayal of fiscal rectitude and free markets at home and non-intervention abroad come apart at the seams.

The runaway front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination is also setting up a crucial battle over both his party’s future and Ukraine, as precious aid to that country is tied to the border deal along with help for Israel and the Indo-Pacific.

Thune argued the Senate’s Ukraine package is the best chance Republicans have to staunch the flow of migrants, which exceeded more than 300,000 people in December alone — an all-time monthly high. 

For want of doubt about the folly of McConnell’s latest beltway boondoggle, let us review a half-dozen maps related to the McConnell “compromise” on border security and Ukraine. They fully expose the manner in which the Uniparty actually shills for agendas that promote the interests not of Flyover America’s long-suffering citizens, but the Swamp Creatures and political careerists who rule the roost inside the Washington beltway.
