Trump’s Bogus Economic Playbook Is Heading For A Test
Yes, America dodged a bullet on November 5th when the voters sent the Beltway Dems packing, along with their DEI, woke, climate howling, Nanny State, left-wing dumbassery. But having avoided a plunge into the fire with Kamala, America is by no means out of the frying pan. Not by a long shot.
That’s because the mainstream Media Combine (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times and the Washington Post) is in the tank for the status quo as prescribed by the Washington ruling elites. This means, of course, that it will be viciously gunning for all the good things Donald Trump will be trying to do such as house-cleaning at the FDA and CDC with Bobby Kennedy; fumigating the FBI with Kash Patel; de-weaponizing the DOJ with Pam Bondi; and purging the intelligence community of its legions of Deep State miscreants with Tulsi Gabbard, among others.
Unfortunately, Donald Trump also has a lot of his own dubious plans, as well. Foremost among these is the impending day #1 deportation dragnet which is likely to sweep up criminals and working, law-abiding immigrants alike. And it’s just plain not worth it because the criminal element comprises just a tiny fragment of the so called undocumented population of 11 million to 20 million, depending upon whose guesstimates you use.
But here’s the thing. The are more than 8 million desperately needed undocumented workers in the US labor force. They account for 5% of total US employment, and in some industries like construction and food service, the ratio is as high as 25%.
Moreover, all of the growth in the US work force since 2019 has been due to immigrants as opposed to native born Americans. During the 5 years since August 2019, for instance, the foreign-born (purple line) portion of the employed population has grown by 3.55 million or 13%.
By contrast, there has been essentially zero growth in the native-born employed population (black line) during the last 63 months. Self-evidently, however, there is no possibility of healthy economic growth in America without foreign born workers because native-born ones were actually never born.
That’s right. The native born US work force, which totaled 128.3 million in 2015, will have dwindled to just 120.1 million by 2035. And it will be heading relentlessly south thereafter as a matter of sheer demographics.
