Tariffmageddon This Way Comes, Part 1

Owing to failing memory we have been digging deeply into the Congressional Record archives to reassure ourselves that we did indeed cast a loud “nay” vote for the insidious International Economic Emergency Powers Act of 1977 (IEEPA). That’s the silly putty-like statute which Trump used to justify his unhinged attack on the domestic and international economy last Wednesday.

Dig as we might, however, we couldn’t find the proof of what we believe to be our long ago stand against executive branch tyranny. That’s because, well, our “nay” vote as a free market, constitutionalist Congressman from the state of Michigan was never recorded!
