Numbskull Economics—Trumpian Style

Well, the Donald was at it again today, recklessly putting his fulsome economic ignorance on public display. In response to this morning’s report that the PPI for May rose at just an 1.5% annualized rate he was all over Powell’s carcass, this time demanding a two percentage point rate cut because, well, as the Donald sees it there’s “no inflation”.

Again, to make his point clear Trump went the ALL CAPS route and then topped it off with a “numbskull” exclamation point—just in case the Eccles Building missed the message.
