How Davos Man Embraced The Fraud Of Piltdown Mann, Part 2

The reverend John Kerry was preaching up a storm last week about the sacred mission of Davos Man: Namely, to effect the very salvation of the planet against the rank depredations of humanity’s eight billion strong.

But it wasn’t just the groupthink about the Climate Crisis that was so striking. Beyond that, in so many words Joe Biden’s “climate envoy” made it abundantly clear that this is a job for the Elect Few. Apparently, the economic future of the planet is too important to be left to the run of mankind.

“When you start to think about it, it’s pretty extraordinary that we — select group of human beings because of whatever touched us at some point in our lives — are able to sit in a room and come together and actually talk about saving the planet,” said Kerry.

“I mean, it’s so almost extraterrestrial to think about saving the planet.” said Kerry.

The thing is, they are not actually jabbering about saving the planet. To the contrary, Davos Man is leading the global campaign to destroy the backbone of modern economic life and the abundance and relief from human poverty and suffering with which it has gifted the world. We are referring, of course, to its  “net zero” agenda to essentially drive fossil fuels—which currently make up 80% of BTU consumption—from the global energy supply system over the next several decades.

All of this is being done in the name of preventing global temperatures from rising by 1.5 degrees C above “pre-industrial” levels. But as we saw in Part 1, in the great scheme of geologic history that’s a frickin’ rounding error!

Moreover, when it comes to the crucial matter of exactly which pre-industrial baseline level to measure from, you can see the skunk sitting on the woodpile a mile away. That’s because as we also showed in Part 1, global temperatures have been higher than at present—often by upwards of 10 degrees C—for most of the past 600 million years!

Accordingly, you can get a rising temperature trend line only by arbitrarily attaching the start to one of history’s low points.

During the more recent era since the Great Extinction Event 66 million years ago, in fact, the decline in temperatures (blue line) has been almost continuous, touching lower than current levels (0 line on the chart) only during the alternating 100,000 year glaciation cycles of the last 2.6 million years of the Pleistocene Ice Ages. Not unsurprisingly, therefore, the Climate Howlers have chosen to ignore 599,828,000 of those years in favor of the last 172 years (since 1850) alone.

They actually put old William Jennings Bryan of Scopes Trial fame to shame. At least he thought the world was 6,000 years old!

Still, the juxtaposition of the temperature record of the last 66 million years and the sawed-off charts of the climate alarmists (per the chart below for 1850-2020) tells you all you need to know: To wit, they have simply banished all the “inconvenient” science from the narrative.
